Brenda Jean Boyd, Age 55 of Keshena, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 26, 2011 at her home.
Brenda was born November 30, 1955 in Keshena, WI a daughter of the late Sylvester T. and Margaret L. TETAN (Waubano) Boyd.
She attended St Anthonys Grade school and later the the Shawano High School.
Following school she travelled extensively and was a traditional dancer at many Pow-Wows. She moved to florida and was employed at the Waubano Trading post for several years.
Brenda returned to the Menominee reservation and did a lot of volunteer work.
She is a member of the Big Drum in Zoar. She also worked as a beautician.
Brenda loved to play cards and gamble. She was a great House-Hopper. She enjoyed watching movies and spending time with children. She was everybodys Auntie, Momma and friend.
Survivors include: Seven Brothers-Alfred (Jean) Boyd of Shawano; Theodore (Henrietta) Boyd of Washington; Jeff (Kathy) Boyd of Arizona; Lew (Vicki) Boyd of Keshena; Gary Boyd of Keshena; Bruce Boyd of Shawano; Tony (Nicole Rieter) Boyd of Neopit.
One sister-Joan Boyd of Cecil
Her nieces and nephews-Tim Boyd; Brock Boyd; Francine Hernandez; Tracy Becera; Matt Boyd; Lisa Boyd; Brandon Boyd; Manih Boyd; Joshua Boyd; Tetan Boyd; Brooks Boyd; Frances Sackatok; Desire Boyd; Kay Ness; Cherissa Boyd; Jesse Boyd; Jason Fish; Ryan Fish; Barbara Jean boyd; Davey Jean Boyd; Racquel Boyd; Antone Boyd; Marcus Boyd; Allen Boyd; Alicia Boyd Anthony Boyd Jr. Averee Jiminez; Maria Boyd; Jared Boyd; Taylor Boyd.
Brenda is further survived by many great niece, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Waldon James Boyd.
A Memorial Mass for Brenda will be celebrated on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:00 PM at St Anthonys Catholic Church in Neopit. Father Robert Rank will be the Celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4 PM on Friday, September 30 at the Menominee Community Center of Neopit until the time of mass on Monday. A Parish Wake service will be conducted on Sunday, October 2 at 7:00 P.M.
Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano is in charge of the service arrangements.
